Uplyme Project
May 2026 – Community feedback incorporated into final proposals
Around 45 local residents attended the public consultation held at Uplyme Village Hall in February 2026 to review the proposed affordable housing development at Cannington Lane.
Feedback showed broad support for the scheme and highlighted suggestions relating to design, sustainability, landscaping, parking and access to local amenities. The project team is reviewing all comments as part of the final planning submission.
February 2026 – Public consultation held
Lyme Regis Community Land Trust and Hastoe Housing Association held a public drop-in consultation at Uplyme Village Hall to present plans for nine new homes at Venlake and Cannington Lane.
The event provided an opportunity for local residents to review the proposals, meet the project team and provide feedback before the planning application was submitted.
Final legal agreements proceeding and final planning permission submission underway.

Charmouth Project
May – September 2026
Site identified on the outskirts of the village which the owners wish to see used for community housing.
Funding for a feasibility study secured from Dorset Council.
Site surveys and assessments organised for Autumn 2026.
